The Life of a Space Scientist - Meet Dr Maggie Aderin Pocock

In this exciting LIVE session, our founder Edwina Dunn speaks to Dr Maggie Aderin-Pocock MBE, the space scientist, bafta nominated broadcaster and author!



Dr Maggie has a passion for presenting science to general audiences and is the founder and managing director of Science Innovation Ltd through which she has given talks to around ½ a million people around the world. Her BBC 2 programme “Do We Really Need the Moon?” earned Maggie the talkback Thames new talent award.


She co-presents ‘Sky at Night’ the longest-running science series in the world and has recently published ‘The Book of the Moon’ and the children’s book ‘Dr Maggie’s Grand Tour of the Solar System’. Maggie studied at Imperial College, where she obtained her degree in Physics and PhD in Mechanical Engineering.
