WHAT WE DO

TELLING WOMEN'S STORIES

reese.png

Our goal is to identify the factors that motivate women - and those that hold them back in their careers. The Female Lead has interviewed thousands of women over time, including world leaders, famous scientists, award-winning actors, acclaimed authors, and hundreds of others who are experts in their field. We share their stories to inspire people and show the many different paths to fulfilment. We want to spark challenging conversations around talent and ambition, and what success looks like to women.

We encourage you to:

  1. Get inspired

  2. Know yourself

  3. Celebrate differences

WORKING WITH SCHOOLS

We are proud to have a strong presence in primary and secondary schools, as well as colleges and universities, around the world. The Female Lead has its own dedicated section of the campaign known as 'The Female Lead Society'. Through this we interact with our network of establishments to deliver free books and an educational programme, aimed at teaching young women to overcome the barriers presented by social media and other societal pressures. Until recently our focus has been on the UK and US, but we now have the ability to digitally reach young people worldwide.

We encourage you to:

  1. Gain more knowledge, self awareness and confidence in yourself

  2. Be your creative self, be resilient and learn from each other

  3. Include The Female Lead Society and skills you've learnt on your CV

WORKING WITH BUSINESSES

Businesses have an equal desire to help and inspire women at work, and we're here to offer practical solutions to support them.

We have a number of expert programmes that are designed to engage and inform businesses about what their female employees need, with the end goal of to strengthening engagement and progression.

We can help you in three ways:

  1. Talent campaign - not enough women come through business or stay

  2. Brand amplification - 80% of buying power is with women and yet the language for women doesn't resonate or engage

  3. CSR opportunity - We need women to be economically active. We need the future generation of women

WORKING WITH GOVERNMENT

Data and research have always been integral to The Female Lead’s DNA. Since our launch in 2015, we have tackled traditionally under-researched areas that address the most pressing issues facing girls and women today. If our research and insight can help the government to create better policies and interventions for women, we seek to inform and advise, wherever practical.
